Bermuda Perfumery, in tandem with the Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA), will unveil a historic, 150-year-old fragrance recently discovered aboard a Civil-war era shipwreck off the shores of Bermuda.
We would love to invite you to join us at this intimate cocktail party celebrating this exciting unveiling.
The Mary Celestia, a Civil War Blockade runner which sunk just off Bermuda’s south shore in 1864, is one of the island’ most popular and accessible dive sites. In 2011 a small collection of hidden artifacts were miraculously uncovered from the bow of the ship, and among items discovered were rare perfume bottles embossed with Piesse & Lubin London, a prominent perfume house during the time the Mary Celestia sank. It’s likely these are the only remaining samples of Piesse & Lubin fragrances remaining today.
