Burger and Lobster is undeniably the most talked about restaurant amongst friends and colleagues and so we were curious to find out what this hype is all about.
The restaurant was absolutely buzzing with large groups of people, and the interior had an old rustic American dinner appeal to it with a cocktail bar. The restaurant is spacious but has a warm feeling to it. Our server was prompt and attentive. The service was very quick too!
I absolutely loved the fact that there was no menu and only 3 options were available. For twenty dollars you can get a 1 & 1/2 pound lobster (steamed or broiled) , a lobster roll or a bacon cheeseburger. They all come with tasty hot fries and a great mixed salad. And of course the garlic butter, perfect. Other size lobsters, we heard up to 12 pounds, are available for around 20 dollars a pound.
We met Vladimir, who was very proud of his restaurant, and was a pleasure to get a tour from. He brought us downstairs where there was another huge room. great for parties, but hasn’t opened yet. We then got the tour of the lobsters. On display through the glass is 4000 lobsters in big blue plastic containers. They are all kept alive in ideal conditions, like an aquarium would have. A pretty incredible sight.
Now it was time to eat. We split a 4.8 pound lobster (steamed), a bacon cheeseburger, a lobster roll and fries and salads. What an incredible meal! The lobster was perfectly cooked, and was the best ever. the lobster roll was great & the burger was really tasty. With no room for dessert, I still ordered a raspberry cheesecake which got eaten really fast. Excellent!
