Il Valentino Osteria brings 20 year tradition of Tuscan cuisine to The Upper East Side. In this new location Il Valentino Osteria’s Executive Consulting Chef Erminio Conte, and Sous Chef Lauro Sucuz, are crafting a menu of delicious Tuscan delicacies. This is a nice addition to the neighborhood. The resturant is very cozy, and the decor is welcoming. Il Valentino Osteria is on 59th street and 1st avenue. The place is beautifully furnished with massive wooden tables, wooden chairs and leather banquettes. Beautiful addition to this elegant spot is the brick oven that they use to make bread and pizza.
They have a great selection of homemade pastas as well as homemade lasagna Bolognese. We decided to try gnocchi sorentina, butternut squash ravioli and malaredus (semolina pasta with lamb ragu) and all of them were well prepared and really tasty. Along with the pasta we had a very fresh Sutton salad (chopped cucumbers, scallions, tomatoes, feta cheese).
