I visited Mozzarella & Vino recently. A really great, True Italian place. Simple, yet elegantly furnished, with a beautiful and quaint atmosphere and friendly, professional staff. They have a Wonderful menu. We started with some excellent wine (Montepulicano), tasty breadsticks and crusty bread. They, as the name suggests, also have a great wine selection. This restaurant specializes in italian cheeses and meats, which is wonderful because 9 out of 10 italian restaurants in the US offer only pasta, pizza, etc. The server picked out a great combination. The selection of fresh mozzarella (buffalo mozzarella, burrata, smoked mozzarella) was out of this world. We also had fried Zucchini as an appetizer. (Yum) The “Lasagna al forno” was incredibly flavorful. The meatballs “Polpette di carne” Homemade meatballs with perfect tomato sauce, We had the baked salmon with spinach, which was cooked just right & the slow braised lamb, in red wine and organic vegetable sauce, served with mashed potatoes. The plates were generous and perfect for sharing. To top it off, the desserts – wow. The crème brulée was the best I have ever tasted, with a creamy and velvety texture and rich vanilla flavour.
Overall: this is a great spot! When i’m in the neighborhood, I would definitely re-visit Mozzarella and Vino.
